Not Dead Yet, the popular workplace comedy series starring Gina Rodriguez, has been officially renewed for a second season by ABC. The announcement came on Tuesday, just before Disney/ABC's upfront presentation in New York City.
Created by David Windsor and Casey Johnson, known for their work on "This Is Us" and "The Real O'Neals," Not Dead Yet is based on the 2020 book "Confessions of a Forty-Something F**k Up" by Alexandra Potter. The show revolves around Nell Stevens (played by Rodriguez), a financially struggling and recently single woman who describes herself as a complete disaster. As she tries to rebuild the life and career she left behind a decade ago, Nell unexpectedly finds herself working as an obituary writer, receiving unconventional life advice from an unlikely source.
