AMC Networks is developing a third series set in Rice’s literary world, following Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches.
The series, which is set in the world of the Talamasca, a secretive organization featured in a number of Rice’s novels, comes from The Blind Side writer John Lee Hanc ock, who is attached as showrunner and writer.
The development comes after both Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches were renewed for second seasons. Interview with the Vampire is currently in production on its second season in Prague and Mayfair Witches is set to film its second season in New Orleans later this year.

According to president of entertainment and AMC Studios at AMC Networks, there are other, "unofficial" projects in the works — and he envisions adaptations of Rice's work in a model similar to that of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"We have other projects that are in development," Dan McDermott told Variety. "They're sort of unofficial right now, but we really plan to have five or six series in that universe over the next five or six years. And there will be an opportunity to pull characters from different shows and do what we refer to as our 'all-star' original series, taking supporting characters and maybe a lead character from one or two shows and doing original series that will be based in the Anne Rice universe." American writer Anne Rice, whose Interview With The Vampire sold more than 150 million copies, has died at the age of 80. Her son Christopher Rice, also an author, announced the news via Anne Rice’s public Facebook page, writing that she had died following complications from a stroke. (Source: Deadline)
AMC Networks has given a series green light to Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, based on the “Lives of the Mayfair Witches” trilogy, to run on the linear AMC network and streamer AMC+. It has received an eight-episode order, is the second series in AMC’s expanding Anne Rice universe and will follow Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire with a late 2022 premiere. The series is written and executive produced by Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford and executive produced by Mark Johnson through his Gran Via Prods. Spalding, who has an overall deal with AMC Studios, will serve as showrunner on Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, which focuses on an intuitive young neurosurgeon who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations. (Source: Deadline)
