FX on Hulu may have canceled Y: The Last Man after only one season, but rumors suggest it may be revived for Disney's streaming services. According to a report from Streamr, Disney is considering developing more episodes of Y: The Last Man and rebranding it as a Hulu or Disney+ Original. Although the company tends to release its original shows on a weekly basis, Streamr also suggests that Disney may choose to release a new season all at once, a model made popular by Netflix. Y: The Last Man's cancellation had nothing to do with its viewership figures, but instead was a result of the cast's contracts expiring. With the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown holding things up even further, the already-extended options for the show's cast members expired on Oct. 15, and FX chose not to renew. (Source: CBR.com)
