The brand new comedy Beauty and the Baller premiered on the American channel Centric on July 22nd, 2017 with 9 brand new episodes for its very first season. Almost a spoof to the Housewives franchise, the show hails from the production company Who Productions and is executive produced by Michael Ajakwe Jr. in collaboration with Reginald Ajakwe, Arthur Anderson, Chijioke Igwe, Ejike Ndefo and Victoria Corskrey Ndefo. The cast features Diandra Lyle as Deena Castle and Akeem Smith as John Castle, as well as Kimberly Dooley, Charles Reese, Calo Rodriguez, Jeanne Chinn and Shoneji Loraine.
If you have watched reality television shows such as The Real Housewives, Wags or – even more apt - Baller Wives, then you will have a pretty good idea what this scripted comedy is about. The dream team is Deena and John Castle, a power couple living the high life. Their beautiful is threatened to fall to pieces, when they suddenly find themselves in court – not the basketball court, though.
