Based on the eponymous British comedy drama, which debuted on Channel 4 on 8th May 2017, Loaded was then picked up the American network AMC and premiered on July 17th, 2017 with 8 episodes for its very first season. The show hails from the production companies American Movie Classics (for AMC), Channel 4, Hillbilly Television, Keshet Productions and Red Radish and is executive produced by Jon Brown, Howard Burch, Assaf Harel, Polly Leys, Avi Nir, Kate Norrish and Muli Segev. The cast features Jim Howick as Josh, Samuel Anderson as Leon, Jonny Sweet as Ewan, Nick Helm as Watto as well as Mary McCormack as Casey, Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Abi, Lolly Adefope as Naomi and Scarlett Alice Johnson as Paula.

Loaded tells the story of four 30-something friends, who suddenly become insanely rich overnight, after they sell their video game company – for a whopping £246 Million. This development transforms the four friends from their geeky gamer lifestyle into seriously hard players at the game, at least at first glance. The sudden influx of this much wealth obviously does have its problems, even if they are very welcome indeed, but at the core of the show is the struggle about their friendship, ambition and the greed that is now fueled by an abundance of everything possible. The comedy portrays a lighthearted look at all the things that can go wrong in this particular scenario.
