Boy Band Is Ending, Will Not Return For Season 2

Currently half-way through its very first installment, Boy Band is a brand new reality singing competition show on the ABC network, which premiered on June 22nd, 2017 with ten episodes. The series is being produced by American Broadcasting Company (ABC) and Matador Content and executive produced by Todd Lubin, Jane Mun, Jay Peterson, Joel Relampagos, Tabitha Dumo and Joe Mulvihill. Rita Ora is the host of Boy Band and Emma Bunton, Nick Carter and Timbaland make up the judges panel.

Boy Band is a singing competition show – very much based on television veterans such as Pop Idol, X-Factor and the Voice – which gives thousands of talented boys the chance of a lifetime by singing for a position in America’s very own brand new Boy Band. Each of the episodes has a different theme and what is new with this show is the fact that the judges actually switch the contestants around to find the best singing combinations for each of the challenges they have to perform. Obviously, there are eliminations along the way and very much like the X-Factor principle back in the UK, here the bottom two singers have to perform their survival songs and the audience watching at home and in the studio will then decide who they want to keep and who they’d like to go. The show will end with five band members and they will debut their brand new single as a whole band for the very first time in the series’ finale.
