The second and final season of “The Son” will debut on April 27 at 9 pm ET. In the second season, Eli McCullough will stop at nothing to secure his legacy against the backdrop of the nascent oil industry of 1917, despite the internal struggles he faces with his son Pete. Meanwhile, in 1851, young Eli is now married and a respected warrior among the Comanches. Then a 1988 timeline is introduced in which Eli’s granddaughter Jeanne Anne McCullough is confronted with a long-buried family secret. (Source: variety.com)

Every time I get started watching a new show like the son they want to cancel the show I have been watching the son from the start.

I love this show. I never miss an episode. To my surprise the show I love so much has been canceled. It is so hard to find a quality of tv programs such as the Son. I would beg for reconsideration if it would do any good. I can only hope a smarter network will pick it up.

Great show. Well written and acted. It would probably have been helped with a consistent and timely schedule. So much drivel out there on cable and this show gets cancelled. Maybe someone else could pick it up? History channel?

I thought Season 2 was never coming! I thought is was already cancelled. I loved this show. Too bad it won't be around for a third season. One of the BEST shows on TV.

Can't wait to watch Season 2. My mother, my aunt and I have been waiting patiently. We even bought Season 1 to watch over a couple times. We are ready!!! We can't wait!! Please make more in the future!!! You have more fans than you realize!! All the characters do an amazing job!!!

Can someone please tell people in the industry we dislike them enough. When they finally get a show on that people like then take 2 dang years to put the 2nd season on. Well please dont bust your ass for the fans. What happened to the days when a season ran from Sept thru May. Then Season 2 would start the following Sept. Not 18 months later hidden someplace or time when it suits them! You will never get a following. But in your Hope's to turn us into a 3rd world dump with nothing but illegals and criminals I guess it dont matter hih!!

Can there be a reasonable explanation as to why it is so difficult to find out when and if a particular seasonal series drama will start airing? Either it is or it isn't. Eventually, there must be a time set for the new season premiere. A simple answer to either or preferably both questions would do wonders for the health of your industry and your prospects for continued employment therein. H-
