Fancy Boy is a new Australian-produced sketch comedy series that was launched on December 8, 2016 on ABC in Australia and became available on NBC's SVOD comedy platform Seeso in the United States on January 12, 2017. It is produced by December Media, Checkpoint Media and Fancy Boy TV, directed by Colin Cairnes and executive produced by Stuart Menzies. The freshman season contains six parts.
The series features writers and performers Jonathan Schuster, Henry Stone, Stuart Daulman, Greg Larsen, Anne Edmonds and John Campbell. The strange situations and the offbeat characters depicted in Fancy Boy are very unusual for the suburbia where the narrative is set. An artist obsessed with farting sounds, a couple whose argument leads to a kidnapping and a mother who is having trouble with her missing child coming back with a beard and a foreign accent.
