The acting is stellar, the writing is hilarious, the plots inspired and unpredicatable. A perfect example is Season 6's 1st episode ***[SPOILERS]: I've seen tons of sitcoms where alcohol leads to an unwanted marriage, but Mr. D puts a hilarious twist on this tired premise.
I understand the ratings aren't stellar, but the show just needs to be advertised better if you want to reach wider audiences. Besides, it doesn't look like the most expensive show to make.
TAKEAWAY: If you've never watched this show then you really should: I didn't think a Canadian sitcom could be so funny but I was very wrong. It's actually better than most American sitcoms and keeps getting funnier! (Starting Season 2, the show is just pure excellence).
So just go to CBC's website and watch it for free. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. ?
