About the series
American Crime is a 5-time Golden Globe nominee US anthology crime television series that's been broadcast on ABC since March 5, 2015. The crime drama was created by John Ridley, and executive produced by John Ridley and Michael J. McDonald. The most recent Season 3 of American Crime was released on ABC on March 12, 2017.
The critically-acclaimed series portrays the investigation of a racially charged murder in the first season, and homophobic-powered sexual assault in the second season. A high school boy studying at a private school accuses several of his schoolmates of sexual assault and posting their photos of it online. Complex issues of race, gender, sexual orientation and class are central to American Crime.
Critical accolades and unfortunate cancellation
Season 3 of American Crime came out on the ABC network in the US on Sunday, March 12, 2017 and consisted of 8 episodes, with the season finale having aired on April 30, 2017. Unfortunately, the third season finale has also become the series finale as on May 11, 2017 the network has officially announced that the show’s fourth season will not go into production. The decision was mostly driven by the continuously declining ratings of the anthology series: having debuted to an audience of 8.37 million in March of 2015, the most recent season premiere has attracted only 2.7 million viewers, which is not an acceptable number for ABC. Despite the decreased ratings, the show has been very highly regarded by critics and over the last 2 year has been nominated for 63 different awards, including 5 Golden Globes, and has a score of 7.8 out of 10 from the viewers on IMDb. There is always hope that the network reconsiders or another channel picks up Season 4 of American Crime, so stay tuned.

Using the same actors in different episodes is a brilliant way of commenting on not only racism, but prejudice of "types" and the assumptions that we make about people. Looking forward to more.
Love the repeat actors
Cannot wait for season 3
The scenarios are what the world is
FINALLY stories that don't sugar-coat or gloss over real "American" stories and situations. Here's the real truth... Note to all true Patriots: you don't have to SOLVE the problem to tell (describe) it accurately. I won't lie... I'm surprises ABC of all networks GOT IT RIGHT! Kudos!!!!!
Can't wait for Season 3...
