The Strain Is Ending, Will Not Return For Season 5

Since it was announced that The Strain will come to a natural end after the current Season 4, the fans were obviously distraught. However, this way they at the very least get to experience a real ending, which hopefully will bring some lose ends together and provide closure for everyone watching. This is definitely better than the network deciding to simply take the show off air midseason and nobody knowing what will happen to their favorite characters. What is most interesting is the fact that the viewing as well as the overall approval ratings are rising, now that the show is coming to an end. The approval ratings are still at a very strong 7.4 out of 10 stars and Rotten Tomatoes even rates the season 4 with 100%. The more important numbers like the viewing figures, which usually decide the fate of a show, are also increasing, as the premiere episode to season 4 was viewed by 1.443 Million people, which is over 6% more compared to last year. Obviously, the decision on The Strain Season 5 cancellation has already been made, but it is good to know that the series ends on a true high.
About the show
Created by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, The Strain is an American horror drama thriller that first aired on FX in July of 2014. Following the success of the first three seasons the show was renewed for season 4, which premiered on July 16th, 2017 with brand new episodes. The series is created by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan and based on their eponymous book. The Strain is a co-production between Double Dare You, Carlton Cuse Productions and FXP. It was announced in September 2016 that the fourth season will also be the last.
After an airplane full of dead people lands in New York City, CDC Dr. Ephraim Goodweather is called upon to investigate. What he discovers is more alarming than any terrorist attack. The passengers on that plane were infected with an ancient strain of a vampire virus and now that virus is about to go viral on the American East Coast. Goodweather, along with his colleagues and a group of good Samaritans hold the fate of humanity in their hands as they battle the infected and try to find ways to curb the virus. Season will come to a dramatic conclusion in the current final fourth installment.

Wasted time with his story. I wanted to know the Professor and Rat catcher's story. The brat kid has turned many faithful away from the show. If the kids in I am over & out with this soap opera. Chuck Hogan is a great writer and should direct from 13 Hours and all his credits. Del Toro must have written the brat in from Pan. A great film as are all his. 4/5 stars

I love the lead guy with his head shaved. I don't like seeing him in other shows/movies with obvious rugs on his head! He's a good actor & is getting some good roles in movies & tv, so I wonder if he is becoming an expensive lead character?
Out of all my negativity, I do love the show & wished they would slow down the movements of the "master", he's always in such a hurry!
