FX’s Alien Got Greenlit for Season 1

The upcoming Alien series, executive produced by Ridley Scott, unfolds in a timeframe predating Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley and marks the franchise's inaugural narrative set on Earth, approximately 70 years into the future. Commencing production in Thailand on July 19, just four days after the initiation of the actors' strike, the filming persisted for over a month exclusively with cast members associated with the British trade union Equity. All scripts were finalized before the WGA strike commenced in May, and production is slated to recommence in Bangkok as early as January.
