Set in the mythical realm of ancient Greece, "Krapopolis" unfolds the story of a delightfully dysfunctional family composed of humans, gods, and monsters, all attempting to govern one of the world's earliest cities. Their primary goal: to avoid ending each other's lives in the process. This intriguing series boasts an ensemble of talented voices, including Emmy Award-winner Hannah Waddingham, Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry ,Pam Murphy, and Duncan Trussell.
"Krapopolis" revolves around a flawed family whose members encompass humans, gods, and monsters. They embark on a mission to guide humanity out of the savage wilderness and into an experimental new lifestyle known as "civilization." Ayoade lends his voice to "Tyrannis," the egotistical and self-involved King of Krapopolis, who endeavors to navigate a city that truly lives up to its name. Waddingham takes on the role of "Deliria," Tyrannis' mother, the goddess of self-destruction and questionable choices. Deliria's interests align with defending civilization only if it means she can garner more worshipers than her rival deities on Mount Olympus.
Berry voices "Shlub," Tyrannis' father, a mantitaur—a unique blend of centaur and manticore. Shlub is the self-proclaimed life of the orgy, a true hedonist who advocates for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves, preferably at the bar. Murphy portrays "Stupendous," Tyrannis' half-sister, born from the union of Deliria and a cyclops. Finally, Trussell brings "Hippocampus" to life, Tyrannis' half-brother, the offspring of Shlub and a mermaid, resulting in a biological hot mess of mythical proportions.
