The Ark Season 2 Will Debut on Syfy on May 8, 2024

In a future set a century ahead, humanity is forced to embark on planetary colonization missions called The Ark, aiming to ensure our survival. The inaugural expedition, Ark One, faces a catastrophic event that unleashes widespread devastation and claims numerous lives.

Stranded with over a year remaining until their destination, the crew grapples with dwindling life-sustaining resources and the absence of leadership. Determined to persevere, they must rise above their limitations and unite as a resilient team in order to maintain their trajectory and survive against all odds.

When I first heard rumors of this show I was expecting a remake of Starlost 1973 from the story pitch. Then when I saw that it was mostly actors from central Europe I was expecting a low budget and poor acting, but I watched it anyway. Now I'm glad it was made, it's a great show and the acting is top notch for mostly unknown actors. I hope it continues for several years.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but once over the slightly outdated set - which reminded me of "Space: 1999" at times and "Battlestar Galactica" indeed - and CGI froms the 90's, the story became rapidly quite gripping and got better and better.
Can't wait for season 2!

The first and second episode was a bit of a jumble and a few corny moments with over the top heroic music and the usual exposition dialogue but each episode got better and better. I am TOTALLY hooked and love the fact it is a diverse crew finding their way and exposing the positive and negative human condition... and the characters are really fleshed out as the episodes progress. The crew represent real people with the usual neurotic fears, egos, dangerous gossip and flawed personalities intertwined around the running of the ship and following the prime mission. it is not a predicable script and a surprise in every episode. LOVE IT!

I LOVE THIS SHOW. I am older (with gray hair) but absolutely love the entire crew of these smart young people. Also, I love the fact that the lead persons are WOMEN!!!! Very strong actors.
On top of that, it doesn't hurt that the hunky pilot James (I am old but not dead yet) sounds a bit SCOTTISH. (I know he is English, but anyway.... )
Please bring the show back. Season 2 - as soon as possible!!!!

I love this show! I’ve been binging all day to catch up. The writing has gotten stronger with each episode and the acting is pretty good for a fairly unknown cast. I do hope SyFy renews this one.

Fantastic show with powerful characters. Told to give it a shot by a friend, got hooked by episode 1, told my kids, 4 of 4 ( families ) new viewers there, they're in laws now watching, bloody great show that deserves many more seasons to come!

Just watched my first several episodes of SyFy's new series "The Ark". SENSATIONAL! Although totally different in plot, tone and characters, it reminded me of the first several seasons of Battlestar Galactica (back when it was excellent)! I foresee a binge weekend in my very near future. Assuming the current strong level of writing, acting, etc., continues, I would eagerly support additional seasons. .
