Canal+ Pulls the Plug on Season 9 of Spiral (Engrenages)
So fast, punchy, absorbing and intoxicating - loved every second. Great use of Paris as the extra character in the series and at times so real I could taste the coffee, smell the cigarettes and savour the hit of Calvados. Would have loved more but can see why the cast might want to leave at the top and take on new challenges and roles. Anytime I visit Paris now though I will be keeping an eye peeled for Laure in a kerbside Golf or the team hitting a bar with a plotline to move forward............
Absolutely - once the awkward coincidences are overlooked (like that there only two criminal barristers in the whole district!), this series just got better and better as it went on and a great shame it has ended.
Fans may now get hooked on Paris Police 1900, another C[censored] + creation. The language is easier to follow, and there is less street talk (merde putin).
I did try removing the subtitles, but found Laure and most of the villains quite hard to follow. Francois Roban and Josephine Karlsson were much easier.
Everything is great about this Police drama except that the show is ending at series nine. Ever since I caught this on the BBC I have bought the series from a streaming service. The characters are etched in my soul. I can only hope this returns again to our screens. There is always the availability of the prior series to binge watch. Perhaps there are other series to get hooked on. Any recommendations?

I may have to re-binge that one.
Spiral - Engrenages is available with any U.K. broadcaster ?
Many thanks, Nick
Really hope there is a series 9.
