Project Fear marks the next chapter in the adventures of the intrepid paranormal investigators Dakota Laden, Chelsea Laden, Tanner Wiseman, and Alex Schroeder. As they bid farewell to Destination Fear, they embark on a thrilling journey filled with chilling encounters and hair-raising discoveries. In "Return to Terror," the team revisits familiar haunts and explores new realms of the supernatural, all while navigating the challenges of funding their venture through a $384,000 Kickstarter campaign.
After much speculation swirling around the fate of Destination Fear on the Travel Channel and discovery+, Dakota Laden(Instagram, Website, Facebook, Tiktok,, X) has officially confirmed the series' cancellation. However, this isn't the final chapter for the Destination Fear crew. Dakota Laden, alongside Chelsea Laden, Tanner Wiseman, and Alex Schroeder, are embarking on a new journey with a rebranded series titled Project Fear, which will now find its home on YouTube.
In their inaugural video unveiling the new endeavor, the team excitedly announced the launch of "Return to Terror," an eight-part series set to kick off Project Fear. This spine-chilling adventure will take them back to the eerie confines of Sweet Springs Sanitarium in West Virginia, along with exploring fresh haunted locales.
To bring Project Fear to life, the team is turning to the community for support through a Kickstarter campaign, aiming to raise $65,000 to cover production costs. Schroeder views this as an opportunity to forge a show that can sustain itself economically, a feat achievable at a fraction of the budget required for a single episode of Destination Fear.
"If you can, only if you can, we ask that you contribute to our campaign," Dakota Laden earnestly expressed, underscoring the importance of fan support in this new chapter. The Kickstarter initiative will also feature enticing perks for backers, including signed memorabilia and exclusive Zoom calls with the entire crew.
