I absolutely agree. So it is cancelled but at least a news release as to why or maybe allude to the reasons. I have to believe the government stopped them but that is OK, just tell us. They had to get permission to do the searches and dig all those holes, etc. And maybe there is a lawsuit in Philippine courts where they are sueing the government for breach of contract. But tell us something!

It was probably canceled due to Philippines government perhaps. They may have kicked the cast out of the country so they can start to recover the gold for themselves. I know those guys (cast) would never be able to take the gold out of the country.

Wow what a great series revealing what most of us already knew that our government is just as evil as all the others. We always knew MacArthur was just as dirty as any politician or they would not be in their positions. So this crew does all this work to find the gold using their funds and investors, equipment, etc and the Philippines shut them down. Covid the big scamdamic shows up and you can bet they went back to finish the digging. Since Marcos son is in charge I'm sure the scumbag cia worked out a deal. I really hate government. As a student of history, I applauded History 2's initial airing of the show. The show has been an incredible buildup to an anti-climatic precipice which only infuriates those of us, who in our Polly-anna optimism, seek the truth and seem to be victims of the "mushroom syndrome") Keep them in the dark and feed them bull-s...t) I completely agree with other contributors to this site who have voiced their disappointment in the lack of transparency as to the resolution of this incredible endeavor. I have a feeling that with the "Helicopter & Un-announced Inspection Visits" That there is a lot of information that is not being presented to the viewing audience.

With the billions or trillions at stake, I'm going to take a poke with a sharp stick and say that the CIA will come first. Then Philippine Government will come second and whatever s[censored]s if any, John Casey will get to distribute to those subject to legal contracts.

Real story is a brigadier general from us army. And a group of men were going to take the gold FROM MARCOS the president or so call help him get his gold and riches out. When he was leaving Philippines. From what i know grand father told me it was alot of money and tons gold that was put a on separate plane and never made to marcos. Grand father said CIA came after with that brigadier general and never was seen again. But my grand father said that it wealth was worth now billions. The US the gold wealth. John Casey started a crowd-funding so that he can proceed independently from history channel. They call themselves "Treasure Quest Club NFT" and the results of their treasure hunt seems to be available only to members. So my assumption is that they are not going to continue the show.

I'm tired of watching these shoes on discovery, history channel that you get into and then they cancel them with no finish to the story. I say to hell with these channels and don't watch any new show s on these 2 channels in particular. They do it all the time with no regard for their viewers. I'm waiting for history channel to cancel oak island that I've been watching for years and then hearing in other media that they actually found treasure. It's such a joke. But we the viewers are [censored]s me included that keep tuning in time after time. I'm done with watching these shoes especially on these two channels. The execs can go [censored] themselves.

Cmon show some commercial sense why dont you?, shows such as this are of massive interest to a huge number of viewers notvto mention the sold advertising space that generates huge financial reward allowing for profits to increase also allowing you the t.v. channel to produce more programs that grab the viewers interest ensuring that you will get more viewers ensuring a more financially sucession of selling even more advertising space and time its starting to paint a very successful picture all round, more viewers being key so like the last coment, stop dragging your heels get off your buttscand start showing series 3 of lost gold of ww2 or your viewers are going to go to other channels and once you lose them they are gone...forever!, thats a simple mathematice equarion of lost viewers plus lost advertising revenue equals lost income, not something you can ever recoup or recover from!.

There won't be a season three. they're in the tunnel, have found the gold, removed it and moved on. Their names have all been changed ( legally) and all now have new lives. If there is a season three ( doubtful) it will hilight the mansions, cars, boats, bikes and planes the crew has bought for themselves
