Whilst home makeover shows are mostly following the same concept of total renovations on tight budgets and within even tighter deadlines, Home Suite Home adds the fun factor of moneymaking and how to turn some seemingly drab rental into an attractive vacation home for short-term cash. The creations are nothing short of stunning and the creative duo seemingly works with any kind of budget. The fact that Nashville is one of the hottest destinations in the current short-term rental climate obviously helps with the numbers, but so do the viewing figures. The first episode kicked off to an audience of just over 1 Million viewers, garnering a demo rating of 0.21 in the coveted 18-49 demographic, which put the series firmly into the Top 40 Cable Ratings for that day. This is definitely promising and we might get to see a season 2 of Home Suite Home. Stay tuned!
General information and cast
Being THE home of makeover house renovation series, HGTV has just released a brand new reality television show called Home Suite Home, which premiered on the November 4th, 2017 for its very first season, which for now only contains one half-hour episode. Featuring the rental guru Teryn Chapin and her very own designer mom Victoria Koloff, the Nashville based women take on some bleak homes and turn them into amazing properties – with a twist.
Home Suite Home is not just another home renovation series, where people can mope about their unloved homes and they end up getting a free makeover before looking all surprised by just how amazing their old house turned out after some designers and skilled craftsmen got their hands on it… Well, almost. This time it’s the two ladies mom and daughter duo that takes on some apartments and turns them into some seriously fabulous short-term vacation rentals – like a home away from home – a hotel room, but better. You get the idea. The first season kicks off to a couple tired of their out-of-shape rental bungalow with a poor layout, an unsightly kitchen and one downstairs bathroom.
