After having shown the American audience oversized families, huge people, tiny people, psychic people and haunted people – TLC is now at it again, this time focusing on “normal” people. The brand new reality TV documentary style series Behind Closed Doors: The American Family kicked off on September 18th, 2017 for its very first season. The show hails from the production company Shed Entertainment and will contain six episodes.
Three American families open their doors to the public and allow a very personal look into their private lives and how they deal with their families and relationships. Each of these families has their very own issues to deal with, couples dealing with their not all that perfect marriage, or those talking about getting married and even cheating spouses and how they may find a way back together. These people are followed 24/7 and provide a raw and hands-off peek into their daily dealings, dramas and decision making.
