General information and cast
Created by John de Mol and based on the Dutch version Bommertje XXL, the brand new game show Cannonball premiered on the British channel ITV on September 2nd, 2017 for its very first series. The show hails from the production companies Potato and Talpa and is executive produced by Michael Kelpie, Martin Scott and John de Mol. The presenters are Freddie Flintoff and Frankie Bridge.
According to the producers of the show, Cannonball is wacky, high-octane and very funny. If you have ever seen BBC’s Wipeout, you will know exactly what we are talking about. The contestants have to successfully maneuver a huge custom built obstacle course in a large swimming pool, but most of them won’t make it past these oversized inflatables and will fly off one of the huge bubbly balls or swings or moving bridges in their way.
