General information and cast
The brand new sports drama 21 Thunder premiered on the Canadian channel CBC on July 31st, 2017 with eight episodes for its very first season. Created by Riley Adams, Kenneth Hirsch and Adrian Wills, the show hails from the production companies PMA Productions, Generic Productions and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and is executive produced by Kenneth Hirsch, Michael Levine, Malcolm MacRury and Adrian Wills. The cast features Stephanie Bennett, Emmanuel Kabongo, Andres Joseph, Kevin Claydon, Jonathan Kim, Clark Backo and Ryan Pierce.
Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world and this brand new show depicts the drama surrounding the young under-21 stars of soccer club Montreal Thunder U21. They are the lifeblood of their club and if they aren’t functioning in their private lives, then that shows in their performances on the field. This new series has it all – love, crime, sex and sport in all its glory – and chronicles the various different characters and how they all come together to get to that pro soccer stage.
