Move over Bachelor in Paradise, here comes TLC’s newest reality television dating show The Spouse House, which premiered on July 9th, 2017 with ten episodes. This brand new series is produced by Kinetic Content, who is also behind Married at First Sight, and executive produced by Chris Coelen, Sam Dean and Kimberly Goodman. The Spouse House is co-hosted by clinical psychologist Dr. Isaiah Pickens and relationship coach Christine Hassler, who will help the participants in this series find their one and only.
Picking up on the current rage about dating television shows such as The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Married at First Sight and the recently debuted Bachelor in Paradise, TLC has 14 people jump head first into their search for love by having them all move into a mansion and meet each other over the course of eight weeks. Whilst this sound pretty straight forward, the 7 men and 7 women have to overcome heartbreak, dates and more heartbreak, including the great fear of being evicted during the engagement ceremony. Each episode will follow a group of singles along during various different activities designed to bring the people together, which all leads to the engagement ceremony, after which the couples either decide to get married or they’ll get evicted and make room for new house mates.
