Currently in its very first installment, the game show series Candy Crush originally debuted on the CBS channel on July 9th, 2017 with brand new episodes. The show is based on the hugely popular mobile game Candy Crush Saga, which was developed by King Digital. Now adapted for television, the show hails from the production companies Pulse: Creative, King Digital and Lionsgate Television. The host is Mario Lopez.
Candy Crush is a brand new live action game show where players have to match colorful candies in combinations of at least three or more in a straight line. During this challenge, obstacles are put in their way to try to throw them off, whilst they are fighting to win points and go through various different levels. The show is built on the new gaming culture, where gamers and non-gamers like to watch others play video games.
