Being part of a franchise, which debuted back in 2010 and has since produced numerous spinoffs and specials, Mystery of the Outdoors may be new, but only at first glance. Overall, the Travel Channel has definitely found a true winning formula and whichever subject they choose to attach to this mystery series will most likely be successful too. As of today, the Travel Channel has not yet made any official announcements regarding a possible renewal or cancellation of the show, but as it is already in its second season, which wasn’t really announced either, it could very well be that the network will just keep going and add more episodes to the lineup. Stay tuned and we will definitely inform you immediately, if anything changes and when Mystery of the Outdoors actually gets renewed with a season 3.
General information about the show
The very first season of the documentary discovery series Mystery of the Outdoors debuted with seven episodes on the Travel Channel on June 22nd, 2017 and jumped straight into the second season with a set of twelve additional new half-hour episodes. Mystery of the Outdoors is part of the long running Travel Channel Mystery-franchise, such as Mysteries at the Castle, Mysteries at the Hotel, Mysteries at the Monument and Mysteries at the Museum, which is currently in its 13th season, and they all try to solve the conundrums surrounding these locations. Mystery of the Outdoors is being produced by Blue Ant Media.
This part of the mystery series literally takes the audience outdoors, as it represents the country and mostly unexplored wilderness where unexplained happenings and mysteries thrive naturally. Every town has its very own legend or tales about weird sounding stories featuring gun wielding ghosts or wild looking creatures and the show even features a town pointing directly at some unexplained forces somewhere in the Grand Canyon National Park. There is literally an abundance of stories out there and Mystery of the Outdoors tries to uncover these hidden gems in the often beautiful locations mainly in the North of America.
