Show concept
Currently in its first season, the reality game show Superhuman debuted on the FOX Network on June 12th, 2017 after a successful two hour pilot on January 4th, 2017. Hosted by actor Kal Penn, the series is produced by Endemol Shine North America and executive produced by Rob Smith, George Hurford Jones and David Friedman. Originally the format was first launched in Germany, where it is currently in its sixths season, but it has gained in international strength ever since and is presently broadcast in several different countries across the globe.
Superhuman literally tests the superhuman abilities of ordinary people in an attempt to win the grand prize of $50,000. Their skills cover all kinds of different fields, such as hearing, taste, touch, smell, memory, sight and more. After having won a number of challenges the host and the guest panel including Mike Tyson, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Dr. Rahul Jandial, who will all provide their very own funny and informative insights and commentary about these unique abilities. Finally, the one amazing mastermind of them all will take home the title of Superhuman and $100,000 in prize money.
