General information and cast
On April 12th, 2017 the first season of a new comedy series called Return of the Mac premiered on the Channel Pop with eight episodes. Created by Joey McIntyre and Paul Greenberg, who also executive produce the series together with Jonathan Baruch, Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg, Return of the Mac is produced by T Group Productions.
Famous through New Kids On The Block, Joey McIntyre plays an exaggerated version of himself in this scripted comedy, where the worlds of being a former band member clash with him restarting his career as an actor. His real life family, including his wife Barrett and his children Griffin, Kira and Rhys, also feature in this series, where Joey tries to make it as a serious actor. His hard work seems to be paying off, when he is hired by a brand new cable network called The Comfy Channel, which - instead of taking his drama series on board – make him host a late-night talk show. This was absolutely not, what Joey had had in mind.
