Series' info and format
On January 3, 2017 a popular British factual television series, The Great Interior Design Challenge, has aired its fourth series. It is an annual interior design competition that has been on the air since 2014. Hailing from Studio Lambert and executive produced by Tanya Shaw and Alannah Richardson, the show is presented by architectural historian Tom Dyckhoff. The current chapters is comprised of nine one-hour episodes and has moved to a new primetime spot.
The series seeks to find Britain's best amateur interior designer by providing the participants with design tasks. In the current series interior and product designer and author Kelly Hoppen, MBE and Director of the British Institute of Interior design Daniel Hopwood are the in-house judges. They will be joined by Elle Decoration Michelle Ogundehin and Sophie Robinson as guest judges. There are knockout rounds, head-to-head challenges, and a wildcard option that the judges have.
