Meet the Parents is a new British dating series airing on ITV that premiered on October 15, 2016. It is an in-house ITV production, and is executive produced by Lee Connolly and Ben Kelly and hosted by Holly Willoughby.
Several romantically deprived singles who have apparently gotten desperate enough put their fate into their parents' hands. While the parents are indeed the people who do know you on the deepest level, their ideas about who would be the perfect match for their child may be embarrassing, and the secrets that they may reveal on nationwide television may be humiliating. The singles can hear their parents spilling the beans to their potential dates about the most cringe-worthy moments of their lives. It will be curious to see whether any of the dates set up by the parents of eager singles are successful both in the short and long run, but it's too early to tell at this point in the life of the show.
