The Letter is a new unscripted reality series commissioned by Freeform. It is produced by Sirens Media, and executive produced by Rebecca Toth, Valerie Haselton and Lucilla D'Agostino, Jack Mori and Arthur Borman. Actress Zelda Williams is the presenter. The series premiered on October 11, 2016, with each episode as a self-contained entity.
Who knows you better than your best friend? It is usually neither your parents, nor your spouse, but your close friends who are the most observant and can give you the best advice. This bold, innovative program offers people a chance to get significant information across to their friends without offending them. Each episode features an anonymous letter from four people outlining their observations of what should be changed in the addressee's life. She (the series focuses solely on female friendships this season) must work on their shortcomings for a week according to the plan suggested in their letter, and the culmination occurs when the four authors reveal their identities.
