Series’ concept and production info
History has commissioned a new documentary series Doomsday: 10 Ways the World Will End for all of us troubled by current events and many prophesies – both reasonably scientific and completely off-the-wall – as if we are not troubled enough. The series is narrated by Dan Nachtrab, written by James Grant Goldin, Daniel Snyder and Laura Verklan and executive produced by Douglas Cohen and Louis Tarantino. Its first season premiered on September 30, 2016.
The series debuted with an episode devoted to the possibilities of a killer asteroid becoming the reason for the end of life on our planet. Other possible reasons featured in the program are nuclear war, massive black hole, a planet on a collision course with Earth, a deadly solar storm, mega volcano eruption, and other lovely scenarios that can, in fact, become reality if the humankind runs out of luck.
