New game program and format
Go For It is a brand new British skill game show created by John de Mol and airing on ITV since its premiere on August 27, 2016. The format is based on the US, Netherlandish and Ukrainian game series Challenge Me! Stephen Mulhem acts as the presenter, and Bruce Hammal narrates the show that is produced by Potato. Michael Kelpie, Rachael Parker and Martin Scott act as executive producers on the show.
The series showcases the strangest and most unique skills that people can possibly demonstrate. The participants have to complete challenges on air and can potentially win a £1000 cash prize. Can you recognize thirty types of wood by smell alone? Or guess a person's weight by lifting him or her? Or identify cars solely by the sound of their engine? Perhaps you can do something even stranger? Casting closes on October 28, 2016, so if you've got an unusual skill – now's your chance for fame.
Viewership and renewal for second series
2.77 million viewers tuned in to see the series premiere episode, which is not a bad start at all. Go For It! Is not very original in its premise, and loosely follows the format of preceding ITV series – You Bet! And Moment of Truth. A second series has already been commissioned, and a casting call is currently out for players. The quirky challenges are entertaining, and considering the reasonable ratings, the renewal is not surprising at all. Please stay tuned, and we will bring you the release date for Go For It series 2 and other relevant news.
