Playhouse Masters Cancelled — No Season 2 on TLC

Playhouse Masters is a new TLC do-it-yourself series that features every child’s dream coming true – elaborately constructed and simple playhouses are custom-made in the workshops of the two hosts. The series is produced by High Noon Entertainment and debuted on August 23, 2016.

Tyson and Audrey Leavitt are the masterminds behind many a dream come true. Treehouses, playhouses, even doghouses aren’t out of the question for the Alberta, Canada inventive couple. After the attention that they received for the playhouse they had built for a local fair, they have decided to devote themselves to building playhouses full-time, which paid off very quickly. Their custom-made houses are currently priced starting at $7500, and one of their recent celebrity customers was NBA MVP Steph Curry and his family, who are seeking a unique princess pony playhouse for their daughter. Among the beautiful featured designs are a planetarium playhouse and a fairy-tale castle.

Viewership and chances of renewal

The series is true eye candy for the inner child in all of us, and it might be dangerous to watch it with your children – they will immediately be hooked and will want a playhouse of their dreams right away. The show premiere drew an audience of 0.561 million viewers and a 0.18 demo rating, while the following week’s installment’s viewership slid to 0.347 million viewers and 0.1 demo rating. Playhouse Masters is a charming program that showcases the work of dedicated craftsmen, and seems to deserve a second season at least for its original theme.
