Love at First Kiss is a new reality dating show that pushes the boundaries of the genre, as Dating Naked and Naked Attraction have already done. On August 3, 2016 the show's eight-episode freshman season premiered on TLC after being rejected by VH1. Mike Fleiss, the creator of the Bachelor franchise, is behind the series which hails from Warner Horizon Television.
Two complete strangers meet each other in a barren all-white room, and share a kiss with seconds of seeing each other for the first time. They can then agree to an express 2-minute date on a couch in a more furnished room, and then, if all goes to mutual satisfaction, proceed to a more traditional date set up outside of the studio. Some of the couples find each other immediately attractive, others part with a pathetically awkward “thank you for kissing me” line.
