Series info and storyline

An award-winning drama web series created in 2012 that was recently commissioned by LMN, Blue: A Secret Life has made its television broadcast debut on July 8, 2016. The series is produced by Indigenous Media and executive produced by Jon Avnet, Rodrigo Garcia and Jake Avnet. Garcia is the writer and director of the series and Karen Graci is the co-writer.

Blue (Julia Stiles) is an office worker by day, an upscale escort by night. Her 13-year-old son Josh (Uriah Shelton) has no idea of his mother’s double life, but the status quo is challenged when a newly introduced client with ties to Blue’s youth appears and threatens this fragile balance. The cast also includes Golden Globe, Emmy and SAG nominee Sarah Paulson, SAG nominee James Morrison, Carla Gallo, Eric Stoltz and Golden Globe nominee Kathleen Quinlan.

Reviews and renewal prospects

The series has garnered mostly positive reviews, with praise earned by the stellar writing, compelling storyline, strong character development and excellent chemistry between actors. The original web series has an 8/10 IMDb rating and the television series is essentially a re-formatted version of the short-format original that ran for three seasons with 10-minute episodes. Among the awards received by Blue were International Academy of Web Television Awards for Best Performance in a Drama and Best Directing (Drama) in 2014. It is unclear whether a continuation of the series is planned at this point, but we will be sure to monitor network announcements and will keep you informed.

I just love (Blue/Julia she's an amazing mom..The cast Made AN awesome movie especially when they got Julia Stiles to be in it.. She's cool, spunky, funny, lovable adorable and AN all around sweet and beautiful woman..Along with all that in the movie.. Her being a mother on here ,and hustling both THOSE Jobs.. LNM is my favorite channel to watch please DONT cancel this show.. PLEASE DON'T CANCEL IT.. Absolutely love the show and really want there to be more seasons. The last episode ended abruptly, and I'm waiting anxiously for the contination of this very absorbing story. Great acting and writing as well as unique story. My one criticism is the excessive bleeping which I found very distracting and annoying.

Please renew the show. I love this show! ? Julia Stiles is great as well as Uriah Shelton. I ran across episode 10 on my DVR and realized that it's been a while since it's been on. ? I've been eager to see what happens next. Looking forward to the renewal! Can't wait! ?

Fantastic story line and a very talented cast! Blue faces life head on and makes the ultimate sacrifice as loving mom of Josh! I admire her strength, and tenacity. She's playing the hand life dealt her and without government entitlements!! You go girl!!
