The series features the trials and tribulations of motherhood as seen through the eyes of six moms from upscale Los Angeles households. All of them are involved in Jill Spivack's eight-week parenting course. The mommy group is a place for the ladies to connect emotionally, explore their roles as mothers, and share the challenges of a major lifestyle change brought on by motherhood. Being a mother in the modern world is not always an easy task, and the group isn't necessarily all smiles, with dramatic confrontations flaring up from time to time.
