Laine and Mina Starsiak Hawk, as they worked to revitalize dilapidated homes in their hometown of Indianapolis. With their company, Two Chicks and a Hammer, Karen and Mina transformed rundown properties into stunning, modern living spaces, all while navigating the challenges of the real estate market and balancing their personal lives. Each episode featured unique design challenges, heartwarming moments, and the dynamic chemistry between Karen and Mina, making it a favorite among viewers.

Good Bones Series Has Ended After Eight Seasons

After eight successful seasons of transforming houses and touching hearts, "Good Bones" has come to an end. The series finale marked the conclusion of Karen and Mina's journey as they bid farewell to the show that brought them into the homes and hearts of viewers across the country. While fans may feel a pang of sadness at the end of an era, they can take comfort in knowing that the legacy of "Good Bones" lives on through the countless homes revitalized and the memories shared throughout the series.

Mina Starsiak Hawk Announces End of Good Bones

Mina Starsiak Hawk, renowned as the leading figure of HGTV's beloved series Good Bones, is likely a familiar face to you. Since its inception in 2016, the show has garnered immense popularity, but after a remarkable eight seasons, it has bid farewell. Throughout this journey, fans have witnessed the myriad transformations in Starsiak Hawk's life, from her engagement, marriage, and the joyous arrival of her two children, Jack and Charlie. Notably, viewers have also marveled at the remarkable metamorphoses of countless homes in the Indianapolis area, orchestrated by Mina and the dedicated crew of Two Chicks and a Hammer.

The announcement of the show's conclusion came from Mina herself back in August, during an episode of her podcast, "Mina AF." Reflecting on her final moments on set, she shared, "Today, I filmed my last few pickups for 'Good Bones.' Not 'Good Bones' Season Eight, but for 'Good Bones'... So it is officially, 'That's a wrap, folks.' ... it's the end of an era."

Mina candidly explained that the weight of numerous life changes, coupled with her mother's retirement from Two Chicks and a Hammer, had become overwhelming. She spoke of the burden she felt, realizing that she had been shouldering not just her own responsibilities, but also those of many others. "It's not my job to keep two dozen people employed for the rest of their lives or all the things that I was putting on myself that was making it really, really hard to function as a normal human being because I always felt the weight of so many other people's worlds that I put on my shoulders. No one else did that to me. There's no blame game to play there."

The toll of this pressure transformed her into a version of herself she found unrecognizable, leading her to the realization that she was not living her best life. Thus, with a heavy heart, she decided to close this chapter for the time being.

Despite bidding adieu to Good Bones, Mina cherished the profound connections she had forged with her colleagues over the years, expressing gratitude for the invaluable relationships she had cultivated. As one chapter ends, another begins, as Mina embarks on a new journey as the Chief Design and Build Officer for the esteemed home improvement brand Character.

Good to see a show with some imagination.

Why isn't Good Bones listed? Definitely need to bring that one back. What we don't need is anything more with the Scott Brothers, no more Flip or Flop from every town in the Country. Especially the Vegas and Palm Springs. Seriously, HGTV is as bad as the Food Network. Really, how many times a day do you need to show House Hunters or Property Brothers?

Isn’t that the whole idea behind HGTV? Idea is different locations & what works in those locations.

Please please bring back Good Bones. It is the "best true to life" HGTV show. They don't focus on the big bucks. They focus on rebuilding the community. They make tons less $$$ in comparison to the other shows.

I LOVE, LOVE, Love
" Good Bones" and have been waiting for it to return! I don't see why there should be any question when it is the most creative show you have. I'm sick and tired of all the "flip or flop" shows except the original one. I liked Hometown too (I don't remember if it was on HGTV or not) for the same reason.

Spent a summer there in the 50's with my cousins. What a wonderful time we had riding bikes around the neighborhood, going to the show a few houses down. We went to the big swimming pool in Broad Ripple what a wonderful life and I learnt to swim there. I will live with the great memories. ? ? ☺ ?
