Through the Wormhole is a US scientific documentary series airing on Science since 2010. The series is produced by Revelations Entertainment and The Incubator, presented by the Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman and written by Kurt Sayenga, Rhys Thomas and Thomas Quinn. The most recent eighth season premiered on April 25th, 2017 and concluded the series on May 16th, 2017. There will be no season 9 after this.
The series tackled the deepest enigmas of life, some of which have intrigued humankind for centuries, and some that have evolved very recently as various branches of science have progressed. Is there a sixth sense? Is immortality possible? What triggered life on Earth? Are there dimensions beyond the three that we know? Does time actually exist? The most fascinating questions, the most brilliant ideas, the most progressive scientists come together on Through the Wormhole.
Overall ratings and no season 9
There are not many shows out there that attract decent numbers of viewers and fantastic overall ratings – such as Through The Wormhole, which scores a whopping 8.6 out of 10 stars on IMDb and 9 out of 10 on Top Documentary Film – and still doesn’t get renewed for another season. And it was none other than the great Morgan Freeman himself, who announced the end of this fascinating documentary series himself, when he gave an interview and mentioned the end of the show. Thought provoking series like this don’t come around all too often, so it certainly is a great shame that this amazing show ended.

feels like censorship and political . All that is available in TV shows is corporation infotainment.
I hope that just because it dared to explore sensitive modern topics that such a thought-provoking series would be silenced. Morgan Freeman did well to headline it.
I believe it is extremely important to keep an open mind about anything that may be discovered by the application of science, and science applies to thinking, not just to fact finding. How else are we to evolve?
Season 7 of TTW abruptly ended, and every episode was of the same high quality I have come to expect. I'm glad I actually viewed the episodes without prejudice to their topics!
I love this shows scientific edge about the Universe. I do not want to see political commentary, so I hope that is not the case.
How about some more of the "new age" scientists like Deepak Chopra, MD, Bruce Lipton, PhD, Gregg Braden, Graham Han[censored] and Robert Bouvale.
