About the series
How It's Made: Dream Cars is an American reality/documentary series that reveals the inner workings and luxurious exteriors of dream cars. The series creators' have unique access to the factories where these cars are built, as well as automobile test labs. The series documents the ways in which exotic and high-performance cars are produced. Dream automobiles such as Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin Vanquish, Ferrari FF, Rolls-Royce Phantom and Audi R8 along with other state-of-the-art models are portrayed, with a whole episode devoted to each model. How It's Made: Dream Cars is narrated by Brooks T. Moore.
How It's Made: Dream Cars originally aired on June 13, 2013 and is currently in its fifth season, which premiered on the Science Channel on July 19, 2016. It is a spinoff from How It's Made, a hit veteran television franchise running on the Science Channel since 2001. How It's Made reveals how certain items – from common to technically complex – are manufactured. The Dream Cars series also airs on the Velocity television channel after a certain interval.
Ratings and renewal possibilities
The season 5 debut detailed the makings of BMW M6 for the fans of the prestigious brand. The series holds an 8/10 rating on IMDb based on 81 reviews, and seems to be popular enough to have held out this long, so if there are enough high-performance automobile models to last another season, the series may very well be renewed for the next run. The viewers have to stay tuned and wait for a network announcement regarding the future of the series.
