Both Colicchio and Simmons also serve as executive producers of the show. Padma Lakshmi had previously hosted the show for the past 19 seasons.
‘Top Chef’ Taps Season 10 Winner Kristen Kish As Host To Replace Padma Lakshmi
Season 10 winner Kristen Kish will take the reins for the hit culinary competition show’s 21st season following the exit of longtime host Padma Lakshmi.
Kish will join head judge Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons for the upcoming season of the Emmy, James Beard and Critics’ Choice Award-winning series. Colicchio and Simmons both serve as executive producers.
Per Bravo’s release, the culinary competition lands in the heart of Wisconsin for Season 21 as a new batch of talented chefs from across the country battle it out for the coveted title. With a backdrop of picturesque landscapes, acres of farmland, miles of shoreline and vibrant urban communities, the cheftestants will explore the fresh flavors and local bounty of this rising culinary destination.
Lakshmi, who also exec produces the show, said that she is leaving the cooking show after its 20th season, which is known as Top Chef: World All-Stars. The show, which has its season finale on June 8, has already been renewed for season 21.
“After much soul searching, I have made the difficult decision to leave Top Chef. Having completed a glorious 20th season as host and exec producer, I am extremely proud to have been a part of building such a successful show and of the impact it has had in the worlds of television and food,” she wrote on social media. “After 17 years, many of the cast and crew are like family to me and I will miss working alongside them dearly. I feel it’s time to move and need to make space for Taste The Nation, my books and other creative pursuits."
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) has announced its nominees for the fourth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards, which honors programs in the nonfiction, unscripted and reality space.

The nineteenth season of the American reality television series Top Chef was first announced by Bravo and NBCUniversal on September 21, 2021. The competition will be filmed in Houston, Texas, which was not featured during the series' previous Texas-themed season, along with other areas near the city, such as Galveston Island. A variation of Top Chef: Portland's rotating alumni judging panel will be implemented. The season is scheduled to premiere in early 2022
You're welcome. By the way, I posted some new info I found on Umbrella Academy, Raising Dion, and South Park on their respective pages. The latter appears to be focused on movies right now. Also, on the Hawkeye page I posted a bunch of info for upcoming Disney+ Marvel shows. I found some info on a new HBO Max Dune tv show. The info is on the Raised by Wolves page.
There's like 100 million tv shows to keep up with now! Good thing I'm an obsessive nerd.?
Bravo has officially revealed that the forthcoming season 19 of the beloved reality competition series Top Chef will take place in Houston, Texas. The new season will be released by Bravo sometime in 2022.
So excited that Season 18 will take place in Portland, Oregon. We used to live in Portland and moved about thirty years ago to Welches about 45 miles east of Portland in the Mt Hood foothills. Can't wait to see how Top Chef showcases Oregon. My most favorite cooking show.
I have watched most seasons as they played out live. I think Season 16, Kentucky was the absolute best of them all, with no interpersonal drama, no whining, no selfish, high maintenance diva's.
Season 16 is a great example of extraordinarily talented people who became friends, cheered each other on with great grace as the were eliminated.
Bravo, deliver more like that and you will have greater success with Top Chef than ever.
Hey i feel your pain!! I looked too and the only way I could watch all 15 seasons was by signing up for Hulu. Which I promptly did!! Hey, when you've got to have it you've got to have it!!
