However, to the dismay of fans around the world, HGTV made the shocking announcement that "Fixer Upper" was canceled, leaving many to wonder why the network decided to bring an end to this iconic show that had become a staple in the world of home improvement television.

"Fixer Upper" made its debut on HGTV in 2013, immediately captivating viewers with its unique concept and the undeniable chemistry between the hosts, Chip and Joanna Gaines. The show followed the couple as they worked with clients to transform rundown properties into beautiful homes, showcasing Joanna's design expertise and Chip's construction skills. Where to Watch Fixer Upper

Fans of "Fixer Upper" have been able to catch the latest episodes of the show on HGTV for years. The network has been the primary broadcaster of the series, making it easily accessible to cable and satellite subscribers. HGTV's streaming platform has also allowed viewers to watch their favorite episodes on-demand, which means that fans can enjoy the magic of the Gaines' renovations whenever and wherever they please. With the availability of "Fixer Upper" on various streaming services, it has become a go-to option for those seeking inspiration for their own home improvement projects.

Fixer Upper First and Last Episode Airing

The first episode of "Fixer Upper" aired on May 23, 2013, introducing Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines, who were known for their ability to transform neglected houses into beautiful homes with the help of their Magnolia Network. The show quickly became popular and aired five successful seasons, with the final episode being shown on April 3, 2018. The series finale was an emotional goodbye, as fans said farewell to the beloved hosts and the countless families whose lives were touched by the Gaines' transformative work.

Fixer Upper Cast

The popular TV show "Fixer Upper" owed much of its success to its charming hosts, Chip and Joanna Gaines. The couple's contagious passion, sincere affection for each other, and exceptional talent in home improvement endeared them to millions of viewers. With Chip's expertise in construction and Joanna's eye for design, they made a formidable team that transformed dilapidated houses into beautiful homes. Their unique blend of humor, authenticity, and unparalleled skill made them a household name. The show also featured various clients and homeowners who shared their personal stories and aspirations for their newly renovated homes, adding an extra layer of emotional depth to each episode.

Fixer Upper Cancelled by HGTV

Despite its immense popularity and dedicated fanbase, HGTV made the surprising decision to cancel "Fixer Upper," leaving many viewers in disbelief and disappointment. The announcement came as a shock to fans who had come to cherish the show's positive influence and the Gaines' infectious charm. Speculations arose about the reasons behind the cancellation, with some pointing to the Gaines' desire to focus on their family and business ventures outside of the show. Although the exact motivations for HGTV's decision remained undisclosed, the void left by the cancellation of "Fixer Upper" left an indelible mark on the landscape of home improvement television.

Even though "Fixer Upper" is no longer airing on HGTV, its impact on the world of home improvement television and the hearts of its devoted fans endures. The cancellation of the show marked the end of a remarkable era, leaving viewers to reminisce about the countless transformations, heartwarming stories, and undeniable magic created by Chip and Joanna Gaines. I'm originally from Louisiana and grew up with all varieties of the Magnolia. The Southern, the Sweet Bay and the Star were my favorites. I currently live in Magnolia, Texas with my newly retired Houston Police Department husband Clarence (33 honored years) and our German Shepard, Co-Co. I think because Magnolia is such an important facet with Chip and Joanna, that they should do at least one home in cities that are named Magnolia. For Texas, they can use us.
We think the Gaines family are the United States version of royalty and we love the way they are rearing their children and how they have such a huge appeal. I was published in the Oprah magazine in 2015 and I've written to Oprah to ask her to interview the Fixer Upper stars.

Technically & Traditionally, new shows for the past 20 years have started in September.
HGTV has not done this. Instead HGTV has save $$$$ by showing re-runs 24/7 for months and months. Is this fair to HGTV viewers. I don't think so. I would like you to tell your viewers how many millions HGTV Owners have saved from showing reruns.

Hi all you Canadian fans. I don't think that we will air the new season just yet. I have looked through all the channels and time slots and don't see it. With respect, the Christmas special airing on Wednesday at 10. p.m is from last year. If you have been using p.v.r to record episodes before then you should find that the new season will record automatically. Having said that I will be keeping a close eye out for any info and will post my findings here. Can't wait for it, getting to know the script of the re runs. Lol!

I've been an avid HGTV watcher since it started and this is, by far, the best show I've seen. My husband (a south Louisiana cowboy and extremely rough around the edges) is a huge fan! Shocking to all of us but it's true! He was about 10 minutes late for an episode during last season and ran in the house yelling "WHAT DID I MISS!" November 29th is marked on our calendar and will be "an event" around here! Thanks, Gaines' for great entertainment and amazing ideas!

I LOVE, LOVE your show. You folks have a genuine persona about you that emulates good down to earth values, faith, and integrity. You show us a slice of your life that, honestly, is just so refreshing. I hope that your popularity does not ruin you...stay simple, focused, and kind. Always love one another no matter what happens to your show, never let the ratings dictate how you live. Let this show change you both and your family in good ways as you see fit, and as you continue to do good for others. You are a mega-hit because of not only what talents you both portray, but merely your ideologies of everyday life and family show us Americans something we yearn to be a part of. Even if for some a dream.

I'm so excited season 4 will start Nov 29. I love the comedy and the home remodeling process. I wish I could be trained by Joanna and then do just what she does in my hometown. What sells the show to so many is that it appeals to the child in us, the creativity inside us, the need of family we all have, and ultimately their kindness and godliness, fill us up with a desire to be like that because it is fun, warm, comfortable and just what we need. Thank you Chip and Joanna for what you do to bring your talents to the world. We love you!!

Your show is funny, educational, professionally done but the true success comes from God because yall point your viewers toward the ways of God. Matt 6:33 is His Word and promise. We say Yes and Amen to the promises of God 2 Corinthians 1:20. Thank you for being His servants.

I absolutely love Fixer Upper ... Chip lends a comical appeal to the show - as well as his excellent contractor skills. Joanna is a fabulous designer ... I am sooooo Glad that this show has been renewed. If I had the money I would move to Texas - have them find me a Fixer Upper and have Chip and Joanna work their Miracle on it.
