Production information and series' plot
Unforgettable is an American mystery and police procedural television series.It originally aired on CBS on September 20, 2011, was then canceled, then pickedup for two more seasons and canceled again. After this tumultuous chain of events at CBS, the series was picked up by the A&E network where its fourth season aired on November 24, 2015.
The series' concept is based on a short story “The Rememberer” by J.Robert Lennon, developed by Ed Redlich and John Belucci and produced by Timberman-Beverly Productions, CBS Television Studios and Sony Pictures Television.
The protagonist, police detective Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery) has hyperthymesia, which is a rare condition that entails having an utterly perfect visual memory. She joins the NYPD partly in hope of investigating the only day in her life that she can't remember – the day of her sister's murder.
Critical reception and chances of renewal
The opinions of the critics and the audience are split on this one – some love it, others simply hate it. The concept seems worthwhile to most viewers, and the lead heroine's casting is also agreed upon as successful. Those who dislike Unforgettable cite the lack of chemistry between the leads, lack of investigative intrigue and holes in the script. The ratings are unimpressive, 0.2 among adults 18-49 in Live+3, and a 1.12 million total viewers for the premiere episode of the current season, and they don't seem to be picking up so far. Will Unforgettable survive and resurface for another season? It might still go either way, so stay tuned and find out when A&E makes a decision.

Updated February 17, 2016: After being resuscitated twice and brought back onto the small screen, first by CBS, and then by A&E, Sony TV's Unforgettable has been canceled following the wrap up of the fourth season. The ratings were, as we have previously reported, very low, and after a promising midseason uptick, have dropped again in the second half of the season. Charmed (the original) is my all time favourite series and I love the fact they gave them a final season to finish the programme off and the final episode was truly magical to watch.
Give Unforgettable the chance to finish the program off with style and not leave viewers with a bitter after taste.
I don’t understand how a great series gets cancelled since I read mostly rave reviews and other fans’ comments about how they liked the series. You should listen to the fans!

and wish it would continue.
When it was coming on when you played rerun most people thought it was off you never explained like you do now when the new season was coming back.

Series 4 the last episode requires another few series. It is absolutely fantastic, missing it already.
Please please series 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 at least.
One thing that did bother me was what seemed like a continuous change in the supporting cast. It would take me a while to 'warm' up to the new members and their personalities. I liked both sets of cast members, before and after coming to NYC, I wish that Sony would have allowed filming of a Finale to wrap all of the characters and storylines up before totally cancelling the show. It would have been a courteous thing to do for the fans.
She's like a cat with 9 lives. Someone should definitely revamp this story and bring it back with a happier ending.
