Our son this the sweets kindest loving man, he's hard working and always been there for his family. This last year he overdosed, became addicted to drugs, and Alcohol. He ODed last week and was in the icu on a ventilator. We almost lost him. He won't listen to reason he has a girl that he got pregnant that got him addicted like she is, it's on him his choices. But she is about to have this baby and she is doing drugs and drinks we are terrified. Our family needs help.
I am hoping to get on the show as my son is a heroin, Crack, and crank addict. The thought of losing my son breaks my heart. Please help me help. Thank you 😭

How can I get help for my daughter? She needs an intervention. We are both going crazy trying to deal with her meth addiction and mental illness. I can't sleep and I'm constantly stressed. I'm starting to fear she may attack me. She won't seek treatment. I need help desperately
I just wanted to send you a virtual hug. I hope you have been able to help your daughter. My family held an intervention (not through the show, just themselves) and I have been clean from meth since 2007. I hope you are able to help your daughter and that she sees your love.
My prayers are with you and your daughter 🙏 I know your comment is from 9 months ago, however, I pray that your daughter has come full circle and has made a full recovery by now. I'm a recovering addict of 10+ years myself and it takes a lot of hard work and dedication but most importantly she will need SUPPORT more than ever! Because without support it can be a fast slippery slope towards a relapse. Just some hard core facts from an addict herself, in recovery. I think people should think before they do anything. I agreed to allow intervention film my niece out of desperation, really knowing in my heart ❤️ I was making a poor choice. The show only exploits the sick and suffering and uses families who will do anything thinking this is a lifesaver when in fact it is not. This show did not even care about my recovery when they wanted me to drive her to cop which I didn’t do or care when she got arrested in my apartment and how it could destroy my life, only worried about trying to get her out of jail when in reality jail was probably something she needed instead of them showing up and filming her at court. Pathetic and she’s still using and they didn’t even care when she knew it was intervention. They kept filming as if maybe she knows.....there was no maybe she said tell intervention to bail me out of jail or I won’t do there show.
Sobriety and wellness is open to everyone who wants it, that’s the beautiful thing. You seem angry and mis directed some of your ill choices and responsibilities for your life into other’s. I urge you to reach out and take you power back, it works if you work it. The goal is and has alway been to facilitate human beings to a clean and sober life, “they” have to want it. I will continuo to pray for all still suffering.
Wow, your issues started before the show. People can only be helped if they truly want help. Blaming and pointing fingers at the show is not going to help you get you or your family's life back. Blessings and much luck.
This is the most honest show on television. I've used their philosophy and solutions of stopping enabling of more than just drunks and drug addicts. I would -really- like to see 'Intervention' tackle the subject of 'Faith Addicts' who have talked themselves into believing that nothing but their chosen deity can help them with an issue and ignoring the big picture that their deity was most likely watching their problem occur...and did nothing. -I strongly feel showing people how to take their power back from these gods through self-reliance and inner strength will give people with problems better -tangible- results than mumbling oaths to nonexistent entities. -A&E is already doing a great job in shining the spotlight on these phony religions with shows like 'Escaping Polygamy', 'Scientology' and the new 'Extreme Cults'. Now its time to teach people how closely these religious crutches are to substance abusers.
Thank you and yes!! I have been saying exactly what you said, for years! A friend of mine became a born again, holy roller during her getting clean. She constantly said God helped and Jesus saved her. It makes me FURIOUS! She has exchanged one addiction, for another. Jesus did not get her sober, SHE got herself sober. Why do people not give themselves HUGE credit for getting clean? Nobody, including the Father, son, or holt ghost gets addicts clean. THEY do the work and get clean. Im so glad to finally see someone else thinks the same!! M.
So I agree with you for the most part. Praying and believing can help some. My issue lies in people who are addicts, get sober, then give their higher power all of the credit. I don't think that is what should be happening. I've seen a good friend go from being a full blown addict, spending months of hard work getting clean, then switching to a religious fanatic. It's exchanging one addiction for another. Then saying they couldn't have done it without their higher power. They did the work and I think they do need to take pride in that. They need to give their inner strength and discipline credit. They need to recognize that they did it, themselves. Their diety didn't stand by and watch them become addicts. Most dietees have given free-will. That's just my humble opinion. Man commits acts/sins on their own. They also fix problems on their own....but can still have faith/religion. J/S.
The reason people give credit ti God, is beacuse HE IS REAL! He loves us and helps us. IF PEOPLE THInk I am adicted to Jesus, so be it. JESUS IS LORD!!!
I know that it is hard to get the show together, but I have watched every season, and continue to re-watch! Please renew, even if the addicts are from other locations....Thank You!
How do watch the Canadian Interventions?? I have seen every one of the episodes for A&E Unites States, but I looked up "Intervention Canada" and almost every episode, I haven't seen. ???? I cant figure out how to get them...??
