About the series
Leepu & Pitbull is an American automotive reality television series that focuses on the work of two master mechanics and car designers as they transform old junkers into works of art. Directed by Sean Lewis and Joe Barker, this series is based in Long Island, New York. Leepu & Pitbull Season 1 premiered on the History Channel on June 23, 2015.
Steve “Pitbull” Trimboli is the owner of Pit Bull Motors Inc. garage based in Long Island. He is a money-saving master mechanic, who focuses on customizing old muscle cars at an affordable price. Nizamuddin “Leepu” Awlia is a Bangladeshi car designer who can transform any old piece-of-junk car into a colorful and creative supercar. In each episode of this series, the two masters take a great story, small budget and a sad-looking clunker of their customer (different every time) and do their best to turn into an automotive dream. The two make quite an odd couple, as their characters are on two different sides of the spectrum, but together they find inspiration to turn scrap into gold.
