I’m ready to let this show disintegrate. Used to be a great show......it’s just way too left wing now. There doesn’t seem to be any balance. No need to watch anymore.

The reason I love Madame Secretary is that the plots are deep and current. Plus the acting is very realistic and professional. Awaiting Season 6 with enthusiasm!

I really enjoy a show that treats issues with intelligence and complexity and doesn’t assume that viewers are uninformed and shallow. Very difficult to find on network tv. I look forward to watching a sixth season.

I consider "Madam Secretary" to be THE BRAVEST AMERICAN TV-series EVER, because it is not afraid to show what is US Government sometimes ready to do in the name of "national interests"!

Used to LOVE this show but it's season 4 and the lesbian is just not a good fit. She's unlikeable, stiff and [censored]y looking with that ridiculas mohawk, put her back in the closet please. I have been able to overlook the extreme liberal agenda until tonight. This episode where the russians are beating the gays and the WH is trying to make them refugees is just too much. I'm tired of it now. They don't show any muslims in the middle east throwing gays off buildings or anything realistic, just more Russia Russia Russia! To much propaganda now, Good bye, it's really to bad.

I agree Gretal, although I am not GAY, but do support any that are, I am tired of US & UK TV Shows & Movies PUSHING gay & straight people's scenes and stories down our throats..
Even these days in good Movies & TV Shows they are showing RAPE / Violent / Multi School SHOOTINGS to everyone. They are also allowing the worst swearwords to be included.

All about money eh Gretal. Then folk wonder why the world has become such a dangerous & violent place > Twisted people copy their ideas. Simple as that.

I don't really like Kat's character yet either. I'm fine with LGBTQ characters, but Kat seems like CBS just mashed everything liberal millennials are supposed to like into one character and even though I am a liberal millennial I don't like that kind of character construction.

However, you must be aware that Russian states beating on gays is totally "realistic." Just two years ago the legislature voted to make public expression of gay love a crime and so far the government has done a terrible job protecting gays from abuse. The storyline was totally believable.

Plus the show doesn't ignore Middle Eastern treatment of gays. They had an episode were Iranians stoned a man to death for being gay and they brought it up again during the Russia gays episode.

My husband and I have always been impressed by this shows ability to address current governmental/political issues in depth. Problems are dealt with in a way that showcases the complexities of working within a global system to achieve results, whether they be in the short term, or geared toward a long-term goal for this country. The family dynamics shown are positive (and realistic) role models for everyone, and a pleasure to watch.
Now, how do we get these adult and functional people in our current White House and Congress??? Also, the show needs a better time slot so it doesn't get preempted by awards shows etc.

What specific moments were too left for you? Everyone says this and I genuinely want to know how the show looks to Republicans. Hollywood always writes for the left, but I think this show is pretty good at staying near the center. For instance, they make it clear both President Dalton and COS Russel are republicans and they are always pragmatic reasonable people who often come off looking better than Elizabeth.

Series has been preempted so many times by CBS our interest has been waning! No prior notification by CBS as to no show/episode in the next week or so. The "old" days during the commercial break a voice over or banner would advise viewers of the next weeks status should the program not be telecast.

Absolutely agree with this poster. I really enjoy the show. Good plots and well acted but, being constantly preempted is a definite distractionion and encourages viewers to find other programs. Stop the B/S!

Waiting for season 4, will CBS continue the show? Half way across the world, I always eager to watch every episode here near Jakarta, Indonesia. I used to love this show, but this season's heavy handed leftist agenda is over the top. Two episodes in, and I'd had it. Cancelled it on the DVR, and haven't missed it since. Not surprised it is losing viewership. Note the election results, writers.

The husband-wife relationship is so intriguing. Now that he works for the feds, they can share the nature of their tasks. Their children are melding into their parent's lives as they grow more politically astute. I can't wait to see how Dimitri plays his part now that he has returned.

This show is fantastic and is easily identified with.

Having held high positions in non corporate organisations and with a family spouse and three children -- we have been there with the kids. Even the too early situation in the last episode.
Really looking forward to season three and may the show continue whilst still believable

All actors are superb, writers magnificent and it's very obvious that the supporting team are of the highest quality

Thanks for the intrgue, plots, fun and family values
