Basic info and plot

Rosewood is an American television series that follows a Miami pathologist, Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, who uses his state-of-the art laboratory equipment to find secrets in people’s bodies. Created by Todd Harthan, the series stars Morris Chestnut, Jaina Lee Ortiz and Gabrielle Dennis. The series hails from Temple Hill Productions, Nickels Productions and 20th Century Fox Television, and is executive produced by Harthan, Richard Shepard, Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey. Rosewood originally premiered on Fox in September 2015, and the second season debuted on September 22, 2016.

The police never has enough people to solve all the crimes that happen in an overpopulated city like Miami and Dr. Rosewood is just the guy who can help, whether the police wants it or not. Rosewood teams up with a nonconformist detective Annalise Villa to help find clues and solve the most unsolvable crimes. Due to the fact that Rosewood has a heart condition that may shorten his life dramatically, he doesn’t care much about procedure or the high morale. His only objective is to catch criminals by any means possible.

Current season, ratings and renewal chances

Season 1 started off very strongly at 7.5 million viewers, but the season finale has lost over a half of its premiere episode audience, going out with an audience of 3.5 million fans. The second season viewership is not looking particularly strong, as it started off right where season one finale left off, with 3.65 million tuning in. Will Fox be happy enough with these questionable ratings for Rosewood to continue through into the next season? It’s an open-ended question, and the network is not likely to make a decision until the season ends. Please stay tuned, and we will inform you when an announcement is made.

If the sg8ow is cancelled then its cancelled i just dont understand why a little common sense was not used and it was left like that......every one was looking at rosewood because of rosey and [censored]lease....so what would have been so hard about ending it the way we want or not instead of ending it unknown......that was just crazy and i feel like us fans got lead on........smh

I love this show no I cant believe it this is so sad . So here's my thought on why this happened . the rates were low because of the day getting changed so .for it have the rates it had at the beginning .you should left it on the day it was on when the day got switched it lost viewers. but that's happened when you have a bunch of stuff withe shirts think with there behinds .because they are scary of have to much diversity on TV . remember people if a bunch of sixty something year old white men don't like something they find a way to take it down that's why the day and time got changed . because that's how Hollywood works .wake up people.

Rosewood is the best show on TV right now. Why would you take us to that place and leave it hanging like that? You have it bring them back for more seasons: you will cancel a show as entertaining as this but we have to be forced to endure shows like the Kardashians and the never ending reality shows that are all identical: the chemistry between them is dynamic and we all love this show ! Bring Rosie and Villa back !!!!

We love Rosewood and are so sad it has been cancelled! I love all the characters and what they represent: smart black man and Hispanic woman in leading roles, good family values, diversity, acceptance, strong mother that holds family together, workplace support, selflessness. There are so few shows that have moral values anymore. It's really nice to see. I hope they change their minds or another network picks this show up. It makes me sick to see "10" different versions of Real Housewives being picked up when they are cancelling the few good shows. I think it's time to drop cable. There is nothing good to watch anymore.

I have been a fan of Rosewood since the very first episode. There is something magical about Villa and Rosie. I hope that you will bring them back. Let them express their love for one another. It is a wonderfully crafted school. Please don't cancel it. give a third season, give it a good spot in your line-up. If you can't do this, make a special , allow them to ride off in the sunset together, or sell the show to another network. their are buyers , if you want to sell the show. Bring on season 3. there are many hearts in pain for those two. Stop the pain for Villa and Rosie, let them openly love one another.

It is a pitty that Season 3 of Rosewood isn't comming. Maybe you should consider checking the numbers of viewers who are not living in America. Because I surely know that there are lots of people watching. So Fox see that you can somehow count the viewers outside the US also. I for example am from Suriname, South America. And I can not wait for the next Rosewood.

I completely agree but its obvious tht season 3 won't b aired coz villa quite her job they shud jst air episode 23 so we can kno what Rosie says 2 nt make her leave with tht guy (whose name I never even bothered 2 learn coz hz nt Rosie) instead of tht gasp thng he dd tht the writers decided 2 end with. Not only Americans watch the show am frm Africa Zambia nd am kinda peeved over the news of its cancellation *sigh* pleeeeeeaaaaase one last episode ? ?

I agree Eliana and all the other people who have said don't cancel this show! Yes, indeed, I am peeved over the news that Rosewood is being cancelled. I love this show! Rosie and Villa belong together and I want the show to continue for at least one more season!!! I will be very sad not to see more developments among the people on this show!

Please please don't cancel Rosewood. I love the series and would be crushed if it ended. Why won't Rosewood open his mouth and tell Villa he loves her? Damn it! It needs to happen. You can't keep me hanging with season 2 like that!

Please do not cancel this show! I agree with all of the above! I look forward to watching this show on Fridays, and I have watched relentlessly from the beginning through time and night changes! The chemistry between the actors and the depth of the characters is really great, their stories are just beginning to come alive! I love that it didn't take long for Rosie to break down Villa's hard exterior and for them to become really close friends with a side of sexual tension :-) this is a really great show! I'm so--- tired of good shows being cancelled! If you cancel this show it will be a travesty!!!!!

Please do not cancel Rosewood. We look forward to watching this show every week and absolutely love it!! Have been waiting for Rosewood and Villa to finally get together. Just because it's not getting the highest of ratings, doesn't mean it's not a good show and people aren't watching it. I think almost 4 million viewers are still decent numbers. I live in Canada, and we love the show. I'm not able to watch it at the regular time at 8pm on Fridays, but I either watch it on demand or I download it. Please keep it going.

1 of the best shows on TV and its getting cancelled. Idiotic shows like scream queens get renewed. Been seeing a lot of this lately. Stupid shows get 5+ seasons and good shows get axed after 1-2 seasons. Rosewood is a very good show. Drama + a little humor thrown in. A show where they display all races working together and getting along. I'm so sick of this.

I look forward to Rosewood every week! I want to know what happens to Slade and how things go for Marco, Villa's brother. His addition to the show brings the opportunity for viewers to see some of the hardships that veterans face while integrating back into a civilian environment. People need to see this and television lets them absorb it more easily. I love the chemistry between Rosie and Villa. I also love the "family" that the Rosewoods have built in their lives. I'd like to see more of Gerald, too.
