Summary and plot
Job or No Job is an American reality television series that follows recent college graduates on their hunt for a new and respectable job. Produced by All3Media America and Studio Lambert, the series premiered on ABC Family on August 5, 2015.
Season 1 of Job or No Job begins with Gabrielle McBay leaving her hometown of Dallas, Texas and heading to Chicago, Illinois to interview with successful restaurants. She’s so nervous that it’s a wonder she can speak at all, which is not surprising, since she has just gotten out of school and doesn’t have much experience not only in her field, but in interviewing in general.
Each episode of the show stars a new young job seeker who is determined to make it big in the world. They all leave their small and not-so-small towns and head to a big city to land the job of their dreams. Although it’s not a picnic out in the real world, these recent college grads have one thing working for them – a career and lifestyle expert Jane Buckingham.
So far, the reviews for the show have been favorable, but it’s too early to tell whether ABC Family will be picking it up for another season. With the job market being as tough as it is, this show might be just what the doctor ordered for everyone seeking to find work in the US. If the network renews the series, we will likely see Job or No Job season 2 sometime in 2016.
