About the series

Race to Escape is a new American reality television competition series that follows captive competitors as they attempt to solve mind-bending puzzles and challenges in order to escape a locked room. Produced by Entertainment One in association with Axial Entertainment, the show debuted on the Science Channel on July 25, 2015.

Hosted by a seasoned veteran of late night television, comedian Jimmy Pardo, Race to Escape pits two teams of three competitors against each other as they compete for their freedom and a chance to win cold hard cash. Each episode follows two groups of complete strangers who are locked in two identical themed rooms and have just one hour to solve puzzles and unravel cryptic clues in order to escape. If they do, a $25,000 cash prize awaits them on the other side of the locked door. If they don’t and the clock runs out, they get nothing.

Jimmy Pardo mentioned on his facebook page that the show was not renewed, despite there never being an official announcement. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news; I really loved this show.

I loveeeeeee this show....watched from the beginning and can't believe that they didn't jump to pick up a second season especially since there are real time escape rooms around the county that people are paying to play.

One of my kids came across this show and it turned out to be a "family night" tv show that we PVR'd so that the 3 of us could watch it all together. After the second show we saw, we decided that we had to pick either the blue or red team to win. It became a really fun night with us all at one time or another expressing "aaarrrgggggg!!! I can't believe they keep missing the clue/solution to it!!!"
Lots of laughs, and it became a great learning for my 12 & 9 year old, that sometimes you have to think outside the box, but you have to be careful just how much you think!! Such a great, fun, thinking game!! Kudos to the person who thought of this one!!!

I also found the show by accident, got hooked on it, then it was gone. Please give us more!!!!!! maybe even create Escape games for the Google store based on the show. ( I said it first)!!!

Stumbled across this show by accident and my kids and I got absolutely hooked!

It's great to find a 'reality' competition where all the family can watch and enjoy and try to figure things out. The kids (and I) had fun shouting at the contestants to tell them where the clues were! Haha.

Please, please bring it back....but please publicize it better so more people can discover and enjoy it too!

Please bring it back, I love, Love tha show. My husband & I would start planning what snacks we're going to have to watch tha with. Race to Escape it one of tha very FEW shows we watch TOGETHER, Because he & I have such DIFFERENT taste in Tv shows so when we do find one we BOTH like we go all out & make a sort of "date" of it.

I think they should continue with race to escape my husband and I watched it and we competed against each other to see how fast we could figure it out before they did it was fun and great memory time for us as a couple bonding time yay :-)
