Basic info and storyline

Paranormal Witness is an American documentary television series produced by Bart Latyton and Dimitri Doganis, featuring eyewitness accounts from people who claim to have experienced paranormal activity. The series originally premiered on September 7, 2011, on the Syfy Channel, and season 5 debuted on August 3, 2016.

Paranormal Witness follows the stories of people who have lived through paranormal experiences that cannot be explained by science. From a family who buys a mansion formerly owned by a notorious serial killer, to a sister of a murdered little boy who must clear her name, season 4 of the show defies reality and lets its viewers come to the realization that they may not be alone in their home. The fact that all of the experiences are brought to life through reenactments makes this paranormal reality series even spookier.

We should all start a petition to bring back paranormal witness!!!!! Like why did they cancel it? They not getting enough views or something? Honestly it was the best horror tv show of all time. The stories were so good and intriguing. My mom even loved it and she doesn’t like scary shows and movies.

I remember there was another show called "a haunting" & college stories? can't quite remember the title but was similar to Paranormal Witness. People who experienced frightening unexplained situations. The fact that these are true life experiences make it very frightening and no other show equals even close to it. Remove the other worthless shows and bring back Paranormal Witness, I'm pretty sure anywhere you travel especially Latin America you can get very true possession and scary stories. Don't let us down. Bring the show back.

Syfi sucks so you keep ghost adventures on TV how I don't know it is obviously fake and annoying and take off the air one of the best ghost series that and my haunted house. Please learn from this mistake this is why people are cutting cable and getting streaming services because there is no reason to keep these channels to watch b........ shows.

I completely agree I think it was the worst idea that they ever made to cancel that show. Those stories and those accounts of what those poor people went through there are several of them that I can completely relate to as I have been haunted by something that I'm unaware of and so it helped me to follow their stories. WORST MISTAKE EVER CANCELING PARANORMAL WITNESS!!!!!
I agree I did five seasons of my haunted house and then poof it went away it did five seasons of paranormal witness and then poof again went away. If they leave Zack bagans on who is the most narcissistic person I think I've ever seen in this business they bring back Ghost hunters and all these other shows but they take the two that were so edge of your seat OMG moments and just take him away ridiculous

It's a British Bass group of people who partnered with people here in America to show this series on us television. I saw that on Wikipedia although you know anyway I agree it's just a shameful that they took such an awesome show off the air really people face this kind of stuff every single day I know myself first hand i'm haunted by something or someone that follows me everywhere I live it turned malevolent at one point and that may or may not have been my fault because I kind of challenged it and so I'm of the opinion that whatever was in that location followed me as well and it's horrible to live like that I can't get anybody to come out and investigate all I need is a psychic really to tell me yeah you do have somebody there and this is who it is and this is what they look like and do you know this person and but the stories that these poor families tell about what they went through it just breaks my heart and scares me to death at the same time

We have all waited long enough. Its time to bring Paranormal Witness back. Please only the actual true stories. I am so tired of some of these other shows. Particularly the investigative shows that "go over the top" to get some sort of reaction from the other side. I prefer hearing experiences from those who lived it. Thank you

I feel like if they would offer a season 6 I would send them my story it was next level just evil I'm not going to say it was a demon but there was definitely an evil spirit that was occupying the home I was living in but on the flip side of that I also had a child that was there that would tug at my pants that I heard called out Mommy but the evil side of it was scary dangerous for me because it attached to me for what seemed like an eternity because I don't recall any of it all I remember was seeing half of a torsoed man hovering in my hallway and I was like a deer in headlights I couldn't scream I couldn't speak I walked backwards because I couldn't believe what I was seeing and when I ran into my china cabinet I turned around real quick and look back and he was gone and I can describe him today as if I just saw him again which believe me when I tell you I do not want to see that face again that was anger next level.....

Please bring back Paranormal Witness, it was head and shoulders above any other show of that genre. The directing, the acting and special affects were the best. Just a great show, very very well done.

I absolutely LOVED the show and can not believe it disappointed anyone. The show is an absolute hit and should be considered as such. It as I have read didn’t hit the million mark which is why there has not been funding for another season. This unfortunately is a disappointment because I looked forward to the episodes as I my parents did Dallas!! Hopefully the show gaining momentum on other channels will rocket views allowing them to funded for future episodes... I can only ??

Please bring back paranormal witness!!! Please please, i am begging you!!! This is my all time favorite tv show! It is by far the very best in it's genre, and i know most of the viewer's out there would agree that this show is awesome. Please reconsider!!! Im sure you will get all the rating you need bc this is a great series. I for one will watch ever single episode as i did the past 5 seasons. Please go forward with season 6!!! This is by far the best Paranormal show available anywhere. I used to watch A Haunting for years & as cheesy as it was, I absolutely loved it! Then enter Paranormal Witness. Season 1&2 where by far the best. The "Real" episodes solid as well. i.e. The Haunting in Connecticut, The Conjuring & Fire in the Sky. Please renew this series for a Season 6! I'm stuck watching The Dead Files & Ghost Adventures. Nothing comes close to the quality of the acting, the true stories told by the witnesses and the overall sense of fear you experience when watching Paranormal Witness. All of the fans are still here waiting patiently.

That post came in 2017 so I'm curious to know what your feelings are about destination fear which I really like I think they're genuine and they're not trying to do anything over the top or fake anything the way that Ghost adventures does that means said since they got canceled on the travel channel and have moved to YouTube under project fear they're even better because they don't have a time limit they don't have restraints on where they can investigate and I personally have signed up for email so I know when each episode and new season comes on and they do a rocking job of investigating. So just curious about what you think of destination fear and now project Fear

Sorry guys but the show has been canceled ? Dimitri Doganis said it on french tv last week.. i'm even surprised that you guys still didn't know.. Anyway, he also said that maybe in 10 years or so we will have a similar show, but up to now there are too many of these show on the market. I'm sad too and who knows maybe they will change their mind.

I hope this show comes back. I haven't been able to find a show like this to replace it. I loved watching it, that ironically I would call Wednesdays "sacred Wednesdays" because I loved watching it while I would pampered myself.

I'll be waiting on the edge of my seat for season six!

What did make this show truly great was the interview portion, not the fake "recreations". The true terror and emotion coming from the interviewee is palpable in the first two seasons. It wains as the seasons go forward and more "re-created" imagery finds its way to the screen. I keenly watch the interviewee to discern the difference between what is said and what is displayed in the reinactment. In later seasons the two versions differ greatly, almost laughably, and the special effects are more heavily relied upon.
If I could speak directly to the producers of the show I would say this: Anything I can create in my mind and envision clearly from what your interviewee saying to me through terrified eyes is more horrifying and believable than any imagery you could dream up!
That said, bring on season six please!

Ok like this is one of the real first and best shows ever!!!!!and no renewal...why!! I will bet destination America will pick it up because syfy has shark nado [censored] to show to renew...sorry....but this sucks...the reason syfy doesn't have more followers of this show is because to much emphasis on [censored]y stuff .... no consistency one year here one yr there you lose followers !!
