Ellis Season 2 is yet to be announced by Acorn TV

AMC Networks' streaming platform Acorn TV and Channel 5 have jointly announced the commissioning of a new feature-length detective drama series, Ellis. Acorn TV, known for its focus on premium British and international television, has also revealed new seasons for popular series like My Life Is Murder, Recipes for Love and Murder, Harry Wild, Under the Vines, and Whitstable Pearl.

The three-part series, Ellis, revolves around DCI Ellis, portrayed by three-time Olivier Award winner Sharon D. Clarke (Showtrial, Lost Boys & Fairies, Rocketman). DCI Ellis is a determined detective who is strategically inserted into struggling investigations. In each two-hour episode, Ellis, accompanied by her right-hand man DS Harper, played by Andrew Gower (The Winter King, Carnival Row, Outlander), arrives at different police stations. Here, she must win over local detectives and immerse herself in the cases she's assigned to solve. Despite being a black female cop accustomed to dismissal and oversight, Ellis proves to be a first-class murder detective with an unwavering commitment to justice and a profound well of compassion for those in need.

I want another season or three or four or many more of Ellis. Such a really good show with strong characters, especially Ellis as played by Sharon D. Clarke. I love the interaction between her and DS Harper, played by Andrew Gower. It is a wonderful way to examine the intricacies between two totally different people thrown together to accomplish the same goal: solve the crime and arrest the perpetrators. The stories are very well done, and the dialogue is unique. I really enjoy this show and look forward to its coming back for another season and even more after that. I do believe you have a winner here, So pay no attention to what mainstream media says, it's such a dud these days anyway, and pay attention to how many people are watching and liking it! Can't wait for another season with this fantastic series.

Please Please Renew Ellis. She is fantastic, and I love this show. I like her attitude and how she just maintains her focus despite all the dirt going on around. I admire her courage and her dedication. The writers have done a fantastic job on the scrips and Sharon D Clarke does an outstanding job portraying her. You will be a disappointment to all if you don't renew.
