Set to debut on Friday, August 18 at 9 pm ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, the series will also feature Vanessa Williams, Beverly Johnson, Whoopi Goldberg, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and more, exploring the impact of ESSENCE Magazine on Black culture in America.
"Time of Essence" delves into each decade, from the '70s to the present day, with firsthand commentary from icons, trailblazers, and staff members who shaped those eras. The series offers a candid look at pivotal moments, accompanied by exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, covering entertainment, sports, politics, fashion, and beauty.
